What You'll Be Doing
Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met.
You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs.
Your ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets will help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.
You may work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly.
You will work with a diverse group of people, your positive and enthusiastic demeanor will aid you in assisting higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.
Likewise, ability to diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions will enable you to work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity.
You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present.
What You'll Bring
A high school diploma or equivalency
1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred.
You must have good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, ability to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.
The successful candidate is able to adapt to a changing work environment, including: increased automation, change in production methods or sequences and rotation among workstations.
You work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities.
You may be requested to work overtime, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
The worker is required to have natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors.
Be able to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies.
