Job Summary
The primary purpose of this job is to perform technical functions related to the production of batteries and capacitors. This position is responsible for setup, inspections, data analysis and troubleshooting related to various technical production functions around testing, destruction analysis and machine operations. Position will follow standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations under little to no supervision. This position is also responsible for preventative maintenance and equipment modifications.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
2. Sets up and runs experiments and/or tests apparatus with direction from engineering. Handles routine and non-routine test requests. Operates some or all of the following: electrical test stations and software, cathode printing equipment and software, microscopes, micrometer, retical, metallograph, scales, data recording software, OCV meters, cameras, XRF, laser marker, plasma cleaner, spot welding or other measuring devices. Performs failure analysis, troubleshooting and repairs. Performs preventative maintenance including but not limited to cleaning, verification of cable connections, correct program running, calibration and qualification of equipment outlined in #2 based on equipment schedule.
3. Supports Engineering, Quality, R&D and IT projects within functional area.
4. Performs routine and non-routine analysis using standard procedures making accept/reject decisions on product quality.
5. Complies and completes documentation including but not limited to: reports, RMAs, DIRs, SDRs, LDRs, cell codes, work orders, SOKs to required specifications and procedures based on product type.
6. Complies and summarizes results of test for evaluation for review by engineering support teams.
7. Recommends, coordinates and/or performs equipment modifications and process innovations.
8. Writes instructions and trains personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes. May writes technical reports and other required documentation.
9. Handles 5S cleaning of all equipment outlined in #2 to ensure long term equipment and product quality.
10. Performs other functions as required.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High school graduate. Associate’s degree in technical field preferred.
Minimum Experience: 4-5 years of Greatbatch related work experience and/or 7-10 years of experience in a regulated industry required. Medical device experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge: Ability to read technical drawings/prints. Computer operation skills.
Mechanical aptitude. Product knowledge helpful.
Special Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills – written and verbal. Strong computer skills. Detail oriented, organized, ability to work independently and effective communicator.
Salary 20.55- 30.14 per hour
