Lab Technician I, Biologics

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.
Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Lab Technician I, Biologics. The main activities of the Biologics Lab Technician I will be to provide support to the KCM Biologics analytical divisions. This work includes glassware washing, conducting laboratory inspections, stocking supplies throughout Biologics, preparing logbooks for use and scanning when they are complete, and other tasks as required.
This is a full-time hourly position. The core hours are Monday – Friday 9:00MAM – 5:00PM

The Role:
- Maintain Analytical laboratories, not limited to general laboratory cleanliness, general glassware cleaning, ordering supplies, and minor documentation;
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, peers and supervisor to facilitate the smooth conduct of project activities;
- Maintain awareness of cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), industry standards, modern techniques and their application to pharmaceutical sciences activities. Keep training current on all applicable SXPs ensuring records are up to date in the internal system;
- Perform tasks as assigned;
- Reads and follows Standard Operating procedures with attention to details;
- Follow cGMP requirements for legible, accurate and thorough documentation to meet regulatory compliance;
- Adheres to policies, processes, and procedures for operating laboratory equipment in a safe and compliant manner;
- Understands the Catalent culture, programs, and communication processes regarding quality, safety, and ethical practices;
- All other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- High School Diploma required;
- Prior lab experience preferred but not required;
- Ability to pay attention to detail and learn and retain technical information;
- Executes routine laboratory procedures and methods with high quality;
- Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to work effectively and meet deadlines;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, internal customers, and supervisor using written and verbal skills;
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
