We are looking for an Analytical Chemists to join our Analytical laboratory team at AstraZeneca, ensuring timely and compliant testing of all analytical samples generated and receipted by the facility.

What you’ll do
As the Analytical Chemist you will report into the Laboratory Manager and will be operating a wide range of instrumentation and equipment, testing printed materials, raw materials and finished products. Your responsibilities will include:
Perform finished product and raw material testing and results review according to laboratory schedules
Perform troubleshooting and problem solving, in conjunction with senior laboratory staff
Provide support for the Analytical Laboratory during internal and external audits
Ensure deviations and OOS are reported for all analytical tests.
Assist in laboratory investigations when required
Complete CAPA, deviations and change controls as required and according to defined timelines
Act in accordance with correct GMP behaviours
Build competency through knowledge sharing and lifelong learning
Manage own time appropriately to ensure that activities are completed within agreed timeline
Ensure compliance of self and others with all systems, processes, and procedures in line with statutory/ legislative/ quality requirements
Essential for the role
Bachelor of Science or equivalent in a related scientific discipline
High level of knowledge and experience for the principles of compliance management and current Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practice.
Experience in analytical Quality Control testing
Competency in analytical techniques and analysis
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy including a Laboratory Information System
Desirable for the role
Sound problem-solving skills
Sound project management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships between key stakeholders
Auditing experience in either manufacturing or laboratory settings
Subject matter expert in at least one relevant field in the Analytical Laboratory
