The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for the role of Supervisor within our Screening department, Toxicology laboratory located in Gretna, LA.
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the Screening department and ensuring that work is performed according to SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and other regulatory organizations. Additionally, this role requires performing QC duties.
WHAT YOU DO
- Personnel Coordination:
- Issue assignments and create daily work schedules.
- Counsel employees on violations of SOPs or corporate policies.
- Train new employees on all procedures and update existing employees on new procedures.
- System and Instrument Management:
- Facilitate resolution of system malfunctions.
- Operate and maintain screening instruments.
- Troubleshoot issues with screening instruments.
- Schedule instrument service and perform validations of new calibrations and controls.
- Data and Quality Control:
- Perform initial review of data.
- Retrieve, format, copy, and prepare data for Legal Packages.
- Complete daily logs and related recordkeeping duties.
- Perform QC duties and ensure adherence to safety requirements.
- Operational Improvement:
- Provide input and recommendations to improve daily operations within the department or laboratory.
- Place orders for new supplies and reagents as needed.
- Ensure the lab department meets safety requirements.
- Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Adhere to all security procedures to ensure confidentiality of donor information.
- Comply with company policies.
- Additional Duties:
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of screening instruments.
- Manage the storage of supplies and disposal of empty boxes as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or relevant field.
- At least three 3 years of experience in screening instrument operation.

The base pay for this position is
$57,300.00 – $114,700.00
