Maintenance / Project Engineer - Life Sciences - Bedford - 6-Months

Our client is currently seeking the skills of Maintenance / Project Engineer to join their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. Responsibilities:
- Support for combined UBD and PPS Pilot facility incorporating large scale bioreactor systems, primary recovery, fine separation.
- Maintain inventory of critical components, reducing downtime.
- Facility design, space utilisation, technical expertise relating to critical utilities (power/gas).
- Point of contact for external engineers, coordination of PM contracts.
- Writes user requirements, specifications, batch records, protocols, and reports
- Develops and maintains maintenance programs for new and existing equipment
- Develops new engineering projects.
Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Biomedical Engineer or Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on are Subject matter experts possessing in-depth knowledge of specialised equipment: who can handle troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades, which reduces downtime and enhances facility operation and coordination with external engineers.
- Support large scale bioreactor systems, centrifuge/AKTA process troubleshooting, and other relevant equipment associated with the facility, URS for buffer concentration/TFF systems.
