We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join the Logistics Team at our site in Abingdon. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday starting ASAP, previous GMP experience would be advantageous but not essential for this role.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Fridays, days.
Salary: £25,000, increasing to £28,000 after successfully completing probation, excellent benefits package plus annual bonuses

Main Responsibilities will include
- The effective and efficient receipt of goods through a centralised receipting location at Building 117 GMP warehouse
- Managing GMP materials (raw materials and consumables) through receipt, sampling and location transfer
- Loading and unloading vehicles (manually and using FLT)
- Putaway of various GMP and non GMP materials into racking and specialised storage locations
- Ordering and controlling the stock of chemicals and consumables for the production team and labs
- Re-distribution of deliveries and control of satellite stores where appropriate, including distribution of materials (chemicals and consumables) between Aptuit buildings using the company vehicle
- Filling and disposal of Building 117 bulk effluent tanks
- Waste handling and sorting for the site, including documentation in accordance with regulations
- Controlled drug / ethanol waste destruction
- Cycle counting and stock checking
- Check / Recondition cardon drum
- General warehouse duties as required
Other skills or attributes
- Spill pallet checks trained
- Attention to detail, especially regarding the completion of documentation
- Clean Driving license
- Fork-lift truck experience (In-house training will be provided if required)
- Experience of working with pressurised gasses and liquid nitrogen (In-house training will be provided if required)
- Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office suite, and stock control software)
- ADR trained
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good level of chemical knowledge
- Ability to complete tasks to cGMP procedures where necessary
- Storage of hazardous substances
- Have a good understanding of basic warehouse duties.
