Job Description
The Engineer in Training (EIT) Program is a comprehensive global initiative designed to introduce engineers to Rockwell Automation products and software, highlighting how they integrate into our customers' manufacturing processes to enhance productivity.
You will participate in a structured one-year training program, which includes four months of core technical training at our global training center in Singapore, followed by a six-month job rotation to gain exposure to multiple responsibilities. Upon completion of the one-year training program, employees will be assigned the role of level 1 Project Engineer within our Process Automation department. You will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
You will report to ENGINEERING MANAGER, PRODUCTION AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will participate and exhibit good towards learning during the first-year training program.
- You will gain an understanding of the organization, its operations, and the roles and responsibilities of a Projects and Services Engineer.
- You will learn about the products and software, and acquire practical experience in multiple projects, services, and other departments.
- After completing the one-year program, you will be assigned the role of a level 1 Project Engineer (PE).
- You have Knowledge / Exposure to Power Electronics / Variable Speed Drives / Motion Control.
- You are comfortable to complete project tasks as assigned, to the required quality, budgeted hours and to schedule.
- You will provide accurate and punctual feedback to Project Managers concerning progress on assignments, scheduling, timesheet and expense activities.
- You will work with other senior engineers or supervisor to produce design documentation for engineered solutions.
- Per assigned project(s), work under management and authority of more senior engineers, project managers and direct supervisor.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in any of the following responsibilities: Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics.
- Have recently graduated with less than 12 months of experience in the field
- Good knowledge of core subjects with basic knowledge of Digital Electronics, Basics of Electricals and Programming Languages
