Job Overview
Solves complex problems and help stakeholders make data- driven decisions by leveraging quantitative methods, such as machine learning. It often involves synthesizing large volume of information and extracting signals from data in a programmatic way.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Person is accountable for identifying and providing optimization and simulation related analysis of the key Performance Indicators
- Building and managing smarter solutions including prescriptive and predictive models using existing tools for better managing business processes
- Person is self-starter, motivated and works with less supervision
- Good understanding of the Network Design / Inventory Optimization / Transport Optimization/ Production Planning etc.
- Accountable for providing detailed analysis of AS-IS vs. TO-BE scenarios.
- Extraction of data from DBMS systems using SQL/other query languages to create, understand and clean datasets for Optimization preferably using Python
- Data cleaning and analysis in python using pandas and similar library etc.
- Experience with tools in the Supply Chain design/ Network/ Inventory / Planning (like LLamasoft, AIMMS etc.)
- Hands-on expertise in Solvers like Gurobi, CPLEX, PULP, Pyomo etc
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Process and methods to optimize logistics costs, production cost and DC Capacity management.
- Work towards setting up models very close to reality by applying exceptions, constraints etc.
- Communicate with multiple teams to gather information and provide management level summary
- Liaison multiple departments like Warehouse, Supply Chain, Operations to ensure accurate data is used, flag master data concerns
- Simulation Models Lifecycle Management and Good Understanding of Simulation Model development preferably
- Solve ad-hoc requirement of Management related to Simulations for critical decision making
- Provide clarifications, training, and support to the development teams.
Desired Expereince And Skills
- 4-6 Years’ experience in Operation Research/Network design related problems
- Python, Gurobi, MILP, QILP and LP problems
- Master’s degree (preferably in Operation Research) or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
- Experience in Model development for Supply Chain Planning using Gurobi, CPLEX or similar tool.
- Experience in Database Management Systems (DBMS), SQL queries and data wrangling
- Experience with best-in-class Supply Chain Planning and Optimization tools
- Hands on expertise in What-if Analysis and Multiple Scenario analysis
- Experience in handling large volumes of data, providing insights, spotting anomalies, identifying trends and complex relationships.
- Experience working with Supply Chain, Operations, Duty, Warehouse and Manufacturing datasets
- Experience in driving project objectives thru Cross Functional Team setups
- Prior experience in delivering project using Project Management Tool like DevOps
- Understanding of Cloud based tool like AWS, Azure etc.
- Automotive / Electronics Manufacturing / FMCG industry experience
- Experience in delivering project objectives in Project Management System (Waterfall/Agile)
- Knowledge of SAP MRP Module
- Good Understanding of Inventory Control, BOM Processing, Duty, Production etc.
- Strong skills in Stakeholder management
- Fluent in English both written and spoken; additional knowledge of another language (e. g. German) is an advantage.
- Always willing to experiment with new tools & technique to improve processes.
