We are looking for a Senior MSAT Process Transfer Engineer who is innovative, detail- oriented, and collaborative to join our MSAT Tech Transfer & Operational Support team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
About the Role
As a Senior MSAT Process Transfer Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering all Process Transfer activities for late-stage and commercial biologics processes into both internal and external commercial scale facilities. You will ensure the smooth transition from development to manufacturing and provide operational support during manufacturing campaigns.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals in the Tech Transfer team of the Mammalian Cells DS Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MSAT). You will also work closely with stakeholders from Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, and Process Development.
What You Will Do
- Drive Process Transfers from Development to Internal Manufacturing and CMOs.
- Take ownership of late-stage and commercial biologics manufacturing processes.
- Provide routine (on-the-floor) support during internal manufacturing campaigns.
- Lead complex process-related investigations and Continuous Process Verification (CPV) activities.
- Support Regulatory inspections and filings.
- Improve the understanding, robustness, and economics of commercial manufacturing processes.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Relevant industry experience in Upstream and Downstream bioprocessing.
- Good understanding of biopharma operations and GMP.
- Experience in performing Technology/Process Transfer projects and scale-up of biologics drug substance processes.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with peers from different functions.
- Ability to travel regularly to internal and/or external biotech production sites.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation, innovation mindset, initiative taker, can-do attitude, team player.
- Very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of French is a plus.
