Job Overview
The TEOA (TE Operations Advantage) Continuous Improvement Manager will bein charge of leading and guiding the TEOA deployment plan for Redwood City and Fremont CA site within the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine business unit. The Continuous Improvement Manager will apply the lean knowledge in all operations areas, such as production, quality, material, maintenance, environment, safety, purchasing and others to address improvements in the service model and productivity
This is a full-time on-site position reporting directly to the Sr. Operations Manager and will be based in Redwood City facility.
Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Overall TEOA lead for base site, driving their TEOA journey while assisting other processes and departments.
- Create a comprehensive strategy/plan for the site, highlighting milestones to achieve a world class operation, through the deploying of TEOA programs. (TEOA Star Level progression).
- Create, plan, lead and follow-up of the TEOA implementation plan and ensure TEOA actions are visual to stakeholders and are driven to a sustainable closure. (Sustainable execution of strategy)
- Facilitate TEOA Kaizen events and assistother department managers.
- Aide and mentor sites TEOA Novice, Apprentice / Kaizen Facilitators to enable them to succeed in the TEOA deployment.
- Assist in defining and leading TEOA standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Build talent within the site, driving a training program from Novice to Masters of TEOA.
- Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way life; creating a culture of change.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering.
- Previous experience leading and transforming operations at site level or value stream level is essential.
- Strong background in lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing lean tools, such as: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover and TPM essential.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management.
- Strong team leader, ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results.
- Analytically, data-driven and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to have a holistic overview of complex situations and flexibility to deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise.
- Working knowledge of the manufacturing processes such as Wire & Cable, Compounding or Tubing Industries is a plus
- The role has a heavy emphasis on assisting, coaching and influencing the Site Leaders to ensure significant improvements in the operations metrics.
- Six Sigma Green Required
- Master Black Belt (Optional)
- Experience in Aerospace and Defense preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $141,200 – $211,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
