Service Engineer, NSW

This position will have responsibilities to perform the following administrative functions on behalf of the Company and in doing so represent the Company in compliance with the Code of Conduct and Business Principles and the employment agreement.
What will you be doing?
- Manage the activities and workload of the Smith & Nephew technical workshop.
- Provide support to customers and sales employees in the service of Smith &
Nephew capital equipment. - Perform equipment inspection, testing, quoting and repair work as required on
incoming service repair jobs from internal and external customers. - Respond to technical trouble shooting phone calls as required.
- Ensure that workshop operational metrics are met.
- Ensure technical work procedures and documents are up to date and accurate.
- Undertake product training at international Smith & Nephew facilities as
required. - Assess and report on product performance, faults etc. and make
recommendations for improvement. - Track and monitor infield stock utilization at a customer level to identify opportunities for improvement and then put in place actions make improvements aligned to sales activities.
- Embed Ortho International Regional asset optimization workstreams into local plans.
- Work with and articulate local needs to regional Int Ortho Asset and Inventory Manager to leverage resources required for local business growth and asset efficiency.
- Lead changes in Loan pool management to deliver loan pool efficiency, productivity and seamless customer experience.
- Provide guidance on allocation logic and in rebalancing stock within the supply chain.
- Support the set forecasting effort in consideration of existing fleet productivity, ensuring healthy correlation between Capex, Inventory, Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) and revenue thru the annual business planning process.
What will you need to be successful?
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent will be preferred.
- Restricted electrical license preferred
- Connect strongly with external / internal customers.
- Excellent people management skills
- Proficient PC skills - Microsoft Office
