Job Description
You will be a key member of the P&G Grooming ICA team delivering new products and process innovations. ICA engineers at P&G are the glue that help build the digital landscape for all production equipment and help drive Industry 4.0 emerging technologies, digital manufacturing, and future automation trends including best -in -class online & offline quality inspection systems to enable superior innovation and products for the consumers. While the role is Boston based, we have plants all over the globe, and you will get the opportunity to travel to based-on business and project needs. In addition to ICA responsibilities, you will help maintain cybersecurity compliance for the engineering systems that we manage.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for designing, software development, managing the build, as well as installation/qualification of relevant equipment.
Build technical mastery that will deliver equipment/machine design to deliver new product initiatives, obsolescence, and savings (cost, cash, and/or material savings).
Work is a mix of new initiatives, new equipment builds, and obsolescence programs.
Integral member of the engineering cybersecurity team. You’ll need to have a passion for cybersecurity with the desire to protect and empower security-aware behaviors. Work with other ICA team members to ensure control systems are implementing all cybersecurity controls and are protecting the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to safeguard them from cyber threats.
Developing standards and documents including Design Basis, User requirements document and software design basis.
Effectively reviewing and approving standard ICA design documents and drawings.
Verifying ICA Equipment and installations that meet the regulatory requirements.
Develop and troubleshoot controls system architecture via Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and other industrial control devices.
The workload itself can consist of being assigned as a technical resource across a portfolio of smaller projects, or as a key member of a larger multi-functional team.
The team is hybrid usually onsite 3 days a week. Expectation is to be onsite daily when building equipment, validating, EO testing, etc.
Job Qualifications
Job Qualifications & Skills - Required:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information/Cyber Security, or related fields.
5-10 years work experience with industrial control systems, computers, and networks.
Technical curiosity and creativity to develop innovative solutions.
Ability to work independently, show initiative.
Possesses strong leadership capabilities and can work collaboratively with a team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage the technical aspects of a project through the complete design, manufacture, debug, and implementation & commissioning phases both at vendor’s and receiving sites with potential travel.
Excellent communication skills – team updates; engagement with peers, vendors, operators, and contractors.
Teamwork/ Collaboration: Ability to work across disciplines and departments to build consensus and align technical directions.
Job Qualifications & Skills - Desired:
Experience with Siemens TIA and Rockwell Control Logix platforms.
Certified in Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or ability to obtain them within 3 years.
Strong understanding of NIST’s cybersecurity framework (CSF).
Technology experience: Machine Control, Instrumentation, Sensors & Actuators, Siemens, or Rockwell Industrial PLCs, Low and Medium Voltage Distribution and Motors, Robotics, Vision Systems, Networks, Server Technologies, Cybersecurity, Machine Safety, Regional and Local Electrical Design Codes that govern applicable equipment and installation practices (NEC/NFPA).
Robotics, Machine Vision skills are a plus.
