Job Summary
The Sr. Assoc, Design/ User Experience is a role within the Digital and Transformation team which works independently on strategic and tactical User Experience initiatives and has a quick learning curve. The role should demonstrate superior learning ability on Functional Analysis, UX Design, UX Industrialization and data analysis and able to apply these effectively in complex problem solving. This role provides practical support with a high degree of customer excitement, expertise and timeliness as it relates to Enterprise UX applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Play the role of ‘product owner’ for enterprise User Experience applications; own the delivery of UX applications across the full lifecycle from Conceptualization to Design to Industrialization to Validation to Marketing
- Play the role of ‘product owner’ for User Experience platform; own the design and delivery of consumer grade applications while respecting the bounds of backend systems setup
- As a senior techno-functional analyst, understand complex business processes across the enterprise and convert them into powerful digital solutions
- Implement a rapid prototyping / wireframing approach and deliver top-shelf designs to the UX and UI Development team for development.
- Partner with diverse functional teams across different business areas to understand their processes, data and day-in-life of their business users; convert these into powerful user stories and stories to create the best-in-class User Experience for these modules
- Partner with UI Development teams to understand the core framework and contribute to building a sustainable and robust underlying framework
- Design and maintain UX industrialization standards across the enterprise. Apply these standards as a mandate during the very early stages of software development to ensure a highly usable product
- Define UX configurators that can be used by the UX Analyst team to build constructs in a rapid manner
- Reverse engineer backend systems (SAP ERP, CRM, MES etc.) processes to abstract the concepts into a consumer grade and simple UI while meeting the protocols and constraints established in the backend system
- Partner with backend system developers to build high performance data models and API which can be consumed by UX to create to-shelf solutions
- Coach and lead a team of college grads and juniors on principles of design thinking, abstraction and UX industrialization. Evaluate work and provide continuous feedback to create a high performance UX Industrialization team
- Develop testing and validation mechanisms with the UI development team to create a constant feedback loop for faster iterations. Test the UX products in synchrony with SAP to ensure data displayed on the UX platform and data modified by the UX platform are interfaced with SAP as expected.
- Provide training on new functionality as required.
- Document procedures for system updates and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Information Technology required or
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration / Design required
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years Experience in UX Design, UI Development, UX Product Management required
Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
