Responsibilities:
Position is in the QC Microbiology Lab/Bioburden/Water Testing Team
Performs testing of raw and in-process materials and pharmaceutical water using pour plate and membrane filtration technique
Performs plate reading and documents results.
Subcultures microbes for identification.
Maintains accurate, complete, legible and concurrent records of work performed and enters results in the laboratory notebook.
Reviews test data/results for reporting and documentation accuracy.
Enters data and results into the LIMS computer system.
Participates in Media fills reads.
Performs QC assessments for deviations resulting from limit excursions.
Gains an awareness of cGMP and maintains compliance with these regulations.
Follows schedules and meet deadlines.
Communicates aberrant results to laboratory supervision immediately.
Follows company and departmental policies.
Completes other duties as assigned by Laboratory Management and/or Group Lead.
Maintains a clean and safe working area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (Microbiology, Biology)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ related laboratory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QC systems
- Capacity to work independently and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in microbiological testing and/or working in a GMP environment
