Hours: 37.5 hours per week on our rotating shift pattern: week 1 06.00-14.00 Monday to Friday, week 2 14.00-22.00 Monday to Friday (shift premium will apply)

The Role
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Almac Pharma Services have been manufacturing medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form for over 50 years. We also pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. From our state-of-the-art facility in Dundalk, we label, pack and distribute Advanced Temperature Medicinal Products requiring ultra-low temperature handling. The expert services we provide support the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.

Senior Operator Grade 3 (Packaging Operations).
As a
Senior Operator (Grade 3)you will conduct and coordinate operational tasks on the floor, and also support process improvement and staff development. You will ensure batches are completed correctly, on time, and within budget. You will be visible on the floor monitoring production activities, including planning ahead for raw materials availability, components, checking equipment availability, and monitoring pack rates. Tasks will include Resource Management, Training and Developing Operators, completing and checking Batch Documentation, and driving Process Improvement initiatives. You will use your expertise to ensure process optimisation and downtime reduction, and will manage all set-up checks during the operation and any additional line clearance and cleaning verification checks to assist Supervisory staff.
Key Requirements:
- Level 5/Leaving Certificate to include English and Maths (or an equivalent level qualification)
- Experience leading teams in a production environment involving production teams, machinery, and quality control of product.
Excellent communication skills, and effective leadership skills are also essential for this role
