Role & Responsibilities
The role of the Maintenance Planner is to manage the planning of the day to day maintenance activities for FDBK. To effectively schedule and co-ordinate maintenance activities in line with manufacturing asset requirements. To be a focal point in ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to and all routine activities are planned and scheduled on the right days to operate efficiently and compliantly. Monitoring scheduled plans while investigating and highlighting exceptions and subsequent replans.
- To schedule maintenance activities to ensure that all statutory requirements are met and to ensure that all the necessary maintenance requirements (materials, resource, equipment) have been considered to meet with the plan and maintenance need.
- To plan the resource requirements to meet the schedule.
- To ensure the maintenance plan is in line with the business requirements and to co-ordinate across the assets to ensure the plan is understood and agreed.
- To plan in unscheduled work in line with the needs of the assets whilst not impacting on the current plan, or if it does ensure this is communicated and the priority is known.
- To operate a plan do review cycle to track progress, promote adherence to plan and drive improvement and awareness.
- Take ownership of planning resources, equipment readiness and SAP. Be proficient in the use of SAP.
- Work in line with the other operations planning functions within supply chain to ensure we are all working in line with one plan and one common goal.
- Ensure that maintenance work complies with the statutory and local engineering standards, using your own knowledge and the knowledge of the wider maintenance team.
- To drive planning meetings to ensure plans are agreed and actions are assigned and escalating where necessary any issues which may impact adherence to the maintenance plan.
- To facilitate change by leading department initiatives and use Lean Six Sigma skills to identify potential areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct Root cause analysis investigations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a planning role
- Experience working in a GMP sector
- Experience working with a computer maintenance management system – SAP
- Working with technical standards
- Experience producing work plans and schedules
