Associate Engineer- Utilities AML-6
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will under limited supervision, complete sophisticated maintenance activities or operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and HVAC Systems according to established guidelines and operating procedures. Conduct intermediate troubleshooting and employ predictive technologies to identify root cause and appropriate corrective actions to diagnose or avert equipment problems.
This position will be supporting the non-standard shift organization in the AML6-Drug Substance organization.
- Assist the System Owner with alarm investigation and documentation in Track Wise system.
- Interact with various multifunctional teams for calibrations and maintenance support.
- Responsible to prepare and present utilities small improvement projects status.
- Operate and Monitor of the utilities system alarms and complete documentation in cGMP database.
- Operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Clean Utilities such as Purified Water, WFI, Distiller, Clean Steam, among other equipment’s.
- Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system.
- Ensure that operational Utilities Inspection Work Order, and work order documentation is completed and accurate.
- Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
- May lead and assign day-to-day tasks to other technicians and ensure that work is performed according to the plan/schedule.
- Interpret and review utility, process system/ equipment, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural, and HVAC P&ID’s.
- Support on-call response by maintaining a pager or cell phone while on-call.
- Demonstrate and employ expertise in two or more advanced maintenance technologies to improve equipment reliability.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of utilities equipment (WFI Still, Clean Steam Generator, Purified Water Production Units, Water Distribution Systems, Chilled Water and Hot Water distribution systems, heat exchangers, process waste systems, and Air Handling Units).
- Intermediate digital literacy.
- Ability to optimally communicate ideas through verbal and written form.
- Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following technical areas: Utility Plant Operations/ Maintenance, Process Equipment/ System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/ Maintenance, or Fire System.
- Knowledge to operate Qualified Building Maintenance System (QBMS) and Process Control System (PCS)
