We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Vector Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) group at our manufacturing site at Libertyville, IL. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
This full-time ten-week internship program will take place June through August of 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, optimization, and/or scale-up of vector manufacturing processes.
Support experimental and manufacturing data analysis to improve process performance and product quality.
Participate in the preparation and review of technical documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, and technical reports.
Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to manufacturing process data and optimization activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct literature reviews and stay current with advancements in vector manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Present findings and progress updates to the MS&T team and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Strong interest in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and vector production technologies.
Basic understanding of cell culture, molecular biology, and bioprocessing principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
