JOB TITLE: Senior Global Market Research Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
In collaboration with the Global and Regional teams, this role will effectively collect, analyze, report and identify key competitive and market dynamics to help the organization develop sound strategies that drive growth and improve patient care. Responsibilities include managing both primary and secondary market research activities around the globe, including design and development, project management and effective identification and presentation of findings/key insights, and supporting the development of strategic plans and programs through research and analytical insights to help the organization achieve its overall goals & objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and report out on competitive and market dynamics globally:
- Maintain global competitive and market intelligence portal for each market segment
- Identify key market insights quarterly, combining information from the portal with the commercial quarterly reviews to provide insights that help support enterprise strategies and programs
- Develop and maintain key databases for each business to help track market size growth, market share trends and market dynamics for the organization using data analytical tools to identify major trends and market shifts
- Plan and manage market research activities:
- Help stakeholders design and develop market research plans to address gaps in market knowledge
- Manage the research study from end-to-end including successful execution within budget and timing parameters established at the beginning of the study
- Report key findings and translate those into keen insights and implications to develop effective business strategies
- Continually deepen industry and product knowledge and stay up to date with the latest advancements and emerging technologies within targeted healthcare subsectors.
- Prepare high quality presentations of findings to project teams and executive management in a professional, engaging, and easy-to-understand way
- Provide research and analytical services, both strategic and tactical, to support the development and execution of effective plans and programs for Terumo BCT products and services to ensure progress toward the company’s objectives globally
- Support the facilitation of the long-term strategic planning process
- Effectively plan and manage cost center budget
- Contribute to a positive work climate for effective teamwork and morale
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Minimum Bachelor's degree
Experience
- Minimum 7 years experience in market research/market intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to turn market insights into actionable recommendations
- Ability to integrate large databases and analyze data in a way that is meaningful to the organization and helps drive strategic direction
- Broad-based experience in business management and marketing
- Previous experience within healthcare, preferred
Skills
- Proven history of utilizing market research to inform actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated competence and success in prior assignments
- Experience in the design and measurement of business processes and effective budget/expense management
- Ability to understand business strategy
- Business acumen is critical to understand what is important to the organization and how process improvement can positively impact the business objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and behaviors
- Ability to work in a matrix structure and manage through influence
- Ability to work highly independently without daily direction. Effective oral and written communication skills, strong numeracy, and comfortable presenting to a range of audiences
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills and management of large databases

- Occasional travel required (up to 15%)
Target Pay Range: $119,800.00 to $149,800.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 10.0%
