Job Summary: Provide engineering leadership for design, implementing, manufacturing, of all aspects of processes and equipment in a regulated environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage key activities within the automation engineering department.
- Lead and manage a high performing team to deliver defined business goals and objectives.
- Interact as a single point of contact with customer and ensure requirements and expectations are understood and met.
- Develop and implement manufacturing and process validation strategies to support launch of products and related production activities.
- Define equipment validated state and associated manufacturing and technical work instructions.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Perform liaison function between Engineering and manufacturing operations for related issues, problems, or improvements.
- Prepare RFP (request for proposal) and RFQ (request for quotation) documents for external contractors and/or suppliers.
- Prepare technical data such as qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, component maintenance manuals, etc.
- Coordinate as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality, sales, production, accounting, finance, molding, and assembly.
- Direct the integration of technical activities and products. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawings. Maintain specification and operational documentation as required.
- Keep manager advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments. Prepare project plan, schedule, budget, and interim reports
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
- Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.

Education and Experience:
- Education: College
- Experience: 6-10 years
- Bachelor’s degree –Engineering Degree or equivalent from four-year college
- Six Sigma certification preferred
- Highly proficient in MS Office applications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with ISO 13485 standards and GMP’s
- Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Experience with high speed automation including continuous motion machines and six axis robots.
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
