How you will make an impact:
• Developing and leading the deployment of Edwards Global EHS Standards.
• Leading internal audits of assigned sites to identify areas of noncompliance or nonconformance with regulations, EHS Standards or ISO 14001 and 45001 Management Systems.
• Leading assigned programs and processes to drive Global Supply Chain performance against EHS key metrics including injury and illness rates, energy/waste/water footprint and other leading indicators. Evaluating data to ensure accuracy and consistent reporting practices and analyzing data for trends, top risks and opportunities.
• Guiding global manufacturing plants to achieve ISO 14001 and 45001 Management System certification. Identifying roadblocks and risks towards achieving certification.
• Acting as global subject-matter expert in one EHS program area (e.g. Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Industrial Hygiene, Electrical Safety, Hazardous Waste Management, Energy/Greenhouse Gas Emissions).
• Advising global manufacturing teams on technical matters to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, permits and reporting obligations.
• Leading and establishing highly complex project plans to ensure deliverables are completed to stakeholders' expectations.
What you’ll need (Required):
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 6 years of previously related industry experience OR Master's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 5 years of previously related industry experience Required.
What else we look for (Preferred):
• Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite
• Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
• Ability to translate complex and technical information to all levels of the organizations
• Ability to speak Spanish (or applicable language) preferred
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to EHS Engineering
• Extensive understanding and knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DOT, ISO local and federal regulations
• Advanced problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Extensive understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
• Maintain current knowledge of global health and safety regulatory requirements and standards to facilitate sharing of best/proven safety practices across sites
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

For California, the base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $142,000 (highly experienced).
