Maintenance Technician – Central Utilities Operator
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Maintenance Technician will report to a Maintenance Manager and will work within the Central Utilities Building, and support Wastewater Treatment Plant operations. This role supports a Non-Standard shifts organization, and report to the Facilities & Engineering (F&E) department.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to work as part of a team, contributing for completion and handover of work, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Knowledgeable of one or more of the following technical areas: Utility Plant Operations/ Maintenance, Process Equipment/ System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/ Maintenance, or Fire System.
- Communicate with client and customers related to routine technical aspects of operations.
- Execute maintenance activities on process equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Pay attention to details, identifies, and resolve situations/problems. Shares suggestions to improve quality and productivity.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office application.
- Able to support other departments or projects according to business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Associate Degree and 2 years of maintenance experience.
Or
2 years in a Technical School setting with hands-on experience.
Or
High School diploma / GED and 4 years of maintenance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Potable Water Treatment Plant License Category I or higher.
- Knowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated facility.
- Operates a variety of equipment/systems including reverse osmosis systems, centrifuges, activated sludge systems, pumps, disinfection process, etc.
- Experience executing and documenting maintenance work in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Ability to interpret P&ID's, identify hazards, isolation points and inter-dependencies between services for LOTO purposes.
- Ability to work with minimum direction, identify issues and effectively communicate the status of equipment or tasks in a timely manner.
