About the role:
Acting as a building engineer to maintains facilities, facilities systems and equipment to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. Responsibilities include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities, infrastructure, and equipment; move and installation of equipment; and other related duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
⦁ Monitor and operate campus Building Management System controls (Metasys) to ensure clean room manufacturing requirements and specifications are maintained.
⦁ Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
⦁ Performs routine tests, inspections, repairs, and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment by using hand or power tools as required.
⦁ Support 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to infrastructure or system trouble alarms to troubleshoot and implement immediate adjustments or repairs.
⦁ Provide technical recommendations through the engineering design phase and project execution to ensure proper functionality, reliability, and future serviceability of infrastructure.
⦁ Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
⦁ Coordinate and direct external vendors and suppliers throughout a variety of direct work projects, preventative maintenance activities, and system repairs.
⦁ Provides validation technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative actions. (Senior Level)
Secondary Responsibilities
⦁ Performs plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties such as moving maintenance of office equipment, simple electrical projects, light construction.
⦁ Where and when applicable, remove snow from entrances and docking areas by using appropriate equipment.
⦁ Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing, HVAC, and wiring required in the production process.
Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical and HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and welding, for the construction, repair, and/or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
Required qualifications:
⦁ 5 Years with Technical degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
⦁ Requires Special Class Boilers License or the ability to obtain upon hire
⦁ Microsoft Office, Digital Equipment PM’s, and Building Management Systems
⦁ Bring Diverse Mechanical Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
⦁ Valid driver's license required
Preferred qualifications:
⦁ Advanced HVAC, Boiler, or Chiller Training/Certifications
⦁ Customer Service and Work Order Experience
