Reporting to the Site EHS and Security Lead, theEHS manager will ensure the delivery of effective Environmental Health and Safety programs across the site in conjunction with a team of EHS specialists and partners within the Engineering organisation.
Focusing on the delivery of effective programs, the EHS Manager will liaise with relevant departments on site and globally, to enhance and optimise program delivery. Collaborating with the EHSS Lead in the development of site strategic plans and implementation through operational programs, the EHS Manager will engage with leads across the operational units within Grange Castle.

Effectively manage and maintain EHS documentation (Written Programs, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments, Change Management, Action Item Tracking, etc.). Creates the right team to drive these processes.
Routinely interacts with colleagues and contractors; participates in internal inspections, GEMBA walks, attends/participates in work-group level meetings, seeks/promotes feedback regarding EHS perceptions and performance, etc. Ensures EHS training is current, effective, and is conducted as outlined in EHS training matrix.
Master’s Degree in occupational health & safety, environmental health, health & safety management, Environmental/Chemical/Process Engineeringor related field from a recognized institution.
Professional certifications such as the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 15 years working experience with at least 5 years managerial / leadership role in environmental, health, and safety, in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Strong understanding of Irish environmental, health, and safety regulations, standards, and industry practices.
Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing control measures to mitigate health and safety risks.
Experience leading environmental compliance programs, including waste management, water quality, and Green House Gas requirements is essential.
Experience and technical knowledge in Industrial Hygiene, Biological Safety, and Process Safety programs required.
Previous experience in people management roles, with demonstrated excellent leadership capabilities is a must.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing effective solutions.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing documentation, records, and reporting requirements.
Ability to lead and influence others, fostering a positive safety culture and promoting employee involvement in health and safety initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve health and safety objectives.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and operational needs.
Empathy and sensitivity towards employees' health and safety concerns, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
