Environment, Health & Safety management is part of the daily operations and contributes to the continuity of Terumo Europe N.V. It is based on its corporate mission, “Contributing to Society through Healthcare.”

The EHS team supports Terumo EMEA in preventing accidents, reducing EHS risks, complying to EHS regulations and reducing our environmental impact.

The scope for this position is our HQ in Haasrode and our European Distribution Centre in Genk. Thus active knowledge of both English and Dutch are required.

Job Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities:

Ownership of EHS Management Systems: You will be the architect of our EHS management system, including procedures and trainings. Additionally, you will be responsible for utilizing EHS Zenya software to handle incident and accident reporting, risk assessments, and accurate reporting, both internally and externally.

Contributing to EHS Objectives: As a pioneer, you will play a pivotal role in setting the foundation for our EHS objectives by actively contributing to strategic initiatives and driving improvement projects.

ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Compliance: You will lead the charge as the administrator of our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance program, coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring certification, and managing our action management system.

Audit Organization: You will create the framework for both internal and external audits, ensuring a seamless audit process.

EHS Procedure Management: Shaping and maintaining our EHS procedures will be at the core of your responsibilities, ensuring that all employees are informed and aligned with the relevant guidelines.

Training: You will have the creative freedom to develop and organize EHS training programs, guaranteeing that all employees are well-trained and fully aware of their responsibilities regarding EHS.

EHS KPIs: You monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to EHS to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.

Safety and Health: Your safety spirit will be instrumental in overseeing the correct application of safety, health, and environmental standards within your area of responsibility.

Environmental Policy and Well-being: You will shape the implementation of the environmental policy and employee well-being, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for everyone.

You will set an example by wearing the necessary personal protective equipment, reporting and addressing incidents and near-incidents, and actively promoting an EHS-driven culture.

Profile Description

We are looking for:

Prevention Advisor level 2, level 3 is acceptable if committed to achieving a Prevention Advisor level 2 certificate
Ideally you have experience in an industrial production environment
Ability to work autonomously and structured
Experience with ISO standardization
Strong theoretical background / interest with an hands-on and practical approach
