BioLegend (a division of Revvity, Inc.) is seeking an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer who can bring their expertise to bear on a variety of biological datasets ranging from single-cell sequencing to flow cytometry. This individual will make significant contributions to the development of novel digital products with direct impact on a wide range of application areas including but not limited to oncology, immunology, and neurology.
Essential Functions

- Work closely with computational scientists, software engineers, biologists, and product managers on multiple projects
- Translate desirable biological endpoints into addressable AI and/or computational problems
- Curate relevant datasets from external and/or internal sources to enable training and testing of new AI methods
- Leverage existing software infrastructure at BioLegend and public software toolkits to rapidly prototype AI and computational methods to address specific problems
- Contribute to the expansion of BioLegend’s AI/ML software infrastructure
- Communicate methods, results and other findings to the team members and management to drive decisions
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in AI/ML or related computational sciences
- Deep understanding of a variety of AI and ML techniques including but not limited to various forms of Deep Neural Networks
- Highly familiar with various AI focused python libraries including but not limited to PyTorch, Keras, SciPy, Sklearn
- Demonstrable ability in applying AI/ML to problems from various domains
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Working knowledge of cell biology
- Effective communication skills
he base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$165,000/year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
