We are looking for an organic chemist for a permanent position to develop new molecules for use in newborn screening assays.
Revvity's Turku site has over 500 employees and is a key location for manufacturing and product development in newborn, maternal-fetal health, and prenatal screening. As a global leader in newborn screening, our solutions have tested over 700 million babies worldwide for life-threatening diseases.
What you will do:
- Planning and documenting syntheses: Create detailed plans and records for synthetic procedures.
- Performing syntheses in the laboratory: Conduct hands-on organic synthesis experiments.
- Preparing manufacturing instructions: Develop clear and detailed instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Comprehensive training: Receive thorough training to equip you for the position.
- Collaboration in project teams: Work with skilled project teams, including both laboratory technicians and chemists.
Success in this role requires:
- A relevant higher education degree, e.g., in organic chemistry.
- Practical experience in laboratory work and synthesis development.
- Proficiency in key analytical methods used in synthesis work (LC, NMR, MS).
- Understanding GMP is an advantage.
- Good oral and written skills in Finnish and English.
- Collaboration skills and flexibility.
- Organizational skills, logical thinking, and initiative.
