Job Summary
The Scientist in Antibody Development is responsible for developing monoclonal antibodies including designing immunization and screening strategies, as well as conducting hands on development work. In particular, the candidate will be involved in design and formulate antigens for animal immunization and perform various assays to characterize antibodies.
This role will also support laboratory staff by providing technical guidance and trouble shoot. The candidate also needs to closely coordinate with application scientists for new antibody-based product development. Knowledge of antibody manufacturing would be a plus.
The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Be able to maintain good documentation practices of experiments and generate reports. Must be proficiency in computer software use (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task. Must be collaborative and good communication skills.

- Design and conduct experiments on all assigned antibody development projects.
- Troubleshooting and conduct process/technology improvements of antibody development, in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Create ISO compliant documentation and train affected team on new processes
- Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced goal driven environment
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with teams including R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Control.
- Other projects and responsibilities as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
- B. S. degree with more than 8 yrs of antibody development experience OR
- M.S. with more than 6 yrs of antibody development experience OR
- Ph.D. with 2 years of antibody development experience
- Major in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemical Engineering or related life science discipline.
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Previous hands on experience in developing anti-phosphor antibodies and/or rabbit monoclonal antibodies.
- Previous hands on experience in antibody-based assay such as western blot, flow cytometry, ELISA.
- Strong scientific understanding of immunology, stem cell/development biology or neuroscience as well as the ability to explore and develop new technologies and approaches.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 -$100,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
