Make your mark for patients
We are looking for an MSAT Lab USP Scientist who is innovative, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator to join our Mammalian Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MSAT) team, based at our UCB campus in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the Role
As an MSAT Lab USP Scientist, you will support cell culture lab activities through design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of scientific principles. You will deliver and present your work in internal discussions and cross-functional meetings.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Mammalian MSAT team and other cross-functional teams. You will work autonomously to support various lab activities and report to a manager.
What You Will Do
- Support process transfer activities for late-stage and commercial biologics.
- Acquire and maintain process expertise for late-stage and commercial products.
- Provide USP process expertise support to stakeholders.
- Transfer and optimize small-scale models from Development.
- Support technology transfers and process validations with lab-scale activities.
- Provide operational support during routine manufacturing campaigns.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Relevant industry experience in cell culture bioprocessing.
- Hands-on cell culture laboratory experience.
- Good understanding of biopharma operations and cGMP.
- Experience in technology transfer and scale-up/scale-down of drug substance processes is a plus.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, innovative mindset, and a team player.
- Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of French is a plus.
