We are looking for a Bio Manufacturing Sciences Specialist who is organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator to join our Bio Drug Substance Operations team, based at our UCB campus in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the Role
As a Bio Manufacturing Sciences Specialist, you will ensure our manufacturing area operates at peak efficiency and product delivery complies with HSE, GMP, and technical standards. You will support the preparation, execution, review, and release of clinical campaigns (Technical & GMP batches phase I, II, and III).
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Bio Drug Substance Operations team and other cross[1]functional teams. You will report to a manager and work autonomously to support various manufacturing activities.
What You Will Do
- Support the process transfer from lab to pilot scale for new products.
- Create and improve documentation such as Master Batch Records and Check-lists.
- Collaborate with the manager on midterm production planning.
- Provide on-the-floor support during manufacturing campaigns.
- Coach and train team members on GMP and scientific processes.
- Manage deviations, change controls, and action plans.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Experience with pilot or large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing and mAbs purification.
- Knowledge of GMP and working in classified pharmaceutical areas.
- Skills in chromatography, ultrafiltration/diafiltration, viral inactivation and nanofiltration.
- Proficiency with equipment qualification and cleaning/process validation.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage stress and adapt to pilot plant production constraints
