Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:
• Responsible and accountable for project quality on major projects. Be customer’s point of contact for quality issues on large projects, take the lead and work cross functionally to resolve project quality issues and close the loop with customers. Investigate project issues and RCA techniques to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans. Prepare/analyze data to identify quality issues on Projects.
• Play a proactive role in prevention/solving of quality issues on projects during its life cycle by leveraging lessons learned and best practices, addressing issues highlighted by internal and external stake holders about potential areas of concern that could affect project flawless execution, customer experience and profitability.
• Work closely with leadership and employees to drive a culture focused on customer value, employee engagement, process standardization and continuous improvement. Reinforces and maintains a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations.
• Audit internal processes to identify opportunities to improve, establish control plan to improve Quality, Customer experience, Safety, On-time delivery and profitability. Perform supplier audits with high rigor and monitor their performance and contribution to overall ABB success and Customer experience. Identify and develop quality standards, both external and internal.

Qualifications for the role
- BS/BA degree required PLUS minimum 6 years of experience including minimum 3 years experience in Electrical Distribution industry AND 3 additional years additional experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Operations and Data Analysis required.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
- Experience in executing complex or specialized projects; possesses working knowledge of project management, quality management systems, and supply chain preferred. Proven experience implementing simplification and standardization initiatives.
- Available for up to 50% domestic travel
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
