Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
The Warehouse Manager for our Fuquay-Varina, NC location is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and logistics. This role requires a strong background in Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, and optimize warehouse processes. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team to ensure the efficient, timely, and accurate handling of materials and products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Shipping Operations:
o Oversee all receiving and shipping activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
o Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
o Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all shipping and receiving transactions.
Inventory Management:
o Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
o Support and maintain inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
o Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
Lean Warehouse Logistics:
o Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and storage strategies, focusing on 5S, Pull, and flow methodologies and continuous improvement.
o Coordinate the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring optimal use of equipment and personnel, and minimizing non-value-added activities.
Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
o Develop and implement Lean training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable in Lean principles and their application in warehouse operations.
o Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to employees.
Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
o Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, promoting a 5S workplace.
o Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations using Lean tools such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis.
o Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives that align with Lean manufacturing principles across industry leaders.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed to meet performance goals.
What your background should look like:
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
o 8+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations including 3+ years in leadership
o Proven experience in applying Lean manufacturing principles in a warehouse environment.
o Experience with managing receiving, shipping, and inventory control processes.
o Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. SAP Preferred.
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
o Certification in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is highly preferred.
o Forklift certification (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 35#.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $89,300 - $133,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
