Greenfield is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing team.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for checking the implementation of the quality management system (QMS) including in accordance with ISO 9001 and applicable cGMP requirements. The role has the responsibility of representing Greenfield Global’ s commitment to quality to our customers and/or regulatory bodies. The role must conduct quality assurance audits and monitor and record results from processes and procedures within the production and quality units. Corrective measures are to be taken if any deviation from normal procedures is found. This may include a deviation, NCR, etc. A major component of this role is the final QA verification of production and quality records and the management of production QA verifier.

Who You Are:
- Ability to lead problem resolution across multi-functional teams and guide teams involved in corrective action.

- Demonstrated leadership skills in management of people, processes and/or projects with ability to provide direction, coaching, training and mentorship to individuals of various skill and experience levels.
Your Experience Should Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, related science or engineering (will consider commensurate work experience)
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Quality, Engineering, Operations. Chemical Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Minimum five years of Quality team management experience, preferably chemical manufacturing
- Hands-on manufacturing experience
- ISO 9001:2015 and cGMP implementation experience a plus
- TTB and compliance experience preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to meet all program quality standards, ensuring site-based compliance for certifications on Organic, Kosher, ISO, and GMP
- Responsible for the associated Quality Processes (i.e. Deviations, Product Quarantine, CAPA control, protocols, etc.) are progressed in a compliant and timely manner and ensure cGMP compliance is maintained.
- Manage quality programs and maintain the required documentation and provide continuing education of plant associates as required.
- Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution. Manage customer complaints and inquiries related to the site QMS. Ensure proper escalation process is in use
- Acts a liaison for commercial, quality, and production personnel regarding product quality issues.
- Manage business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics.
- Monitor and audit process, material, and product testing against established standards and maintain a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations.
- Conducts Internal Audits according to the established schedule to ensure HACCP and QMS are effectively implemented.
- Lead or participate in external audits from customers and /or regulatory bodies.
- Carry-out analysis of product & process quality issues through structural problem-solving processes and drive technical solutions during escalations.
- Lead efforts for process and product risk assessments.
- Identify deficiencies or gaps resulting from assessment and develop solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes.
- Identify discrepancies in current practices, food safety and QMS requirements through quality audits, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate development of corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues on a continual basis.
- Continuously assess quality processes to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
- Support validation and qualification programs and final approval of commissioning documents.
- Develop, write, and maintain protocols and reports.
- Collaborate and maintain a positive relationship with other organization functions and internal stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are executed.
- Guide and coach the Quality team to drive performance, develop potential, and facilitate career growth.
- Manage the activities of the Quality Assurance department in a manner that keeps plant and senior management fully informed on any issues and assists in achieving quality and compliance goals.
