Almac Group is currently seeking a Production Support Team Lead for our Audubon, PA location. The Maintenance Manager is a key operational leadership role within the Pharma Services business. The role will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of business unit KPIs through supporting operational and engineering teams in the operation and maintenance of process equipment throughout their lifecycle. The role will be directly responsible for the management of the maintenance staff in Audubon.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Point person for projects providing effective feedback to the project team through regular project meetings.
- Manage a team of people supporting new product introductions.
- Communicate effectively with line manager and other department heads on issues and potential solutions.
- Control handover of process from initial phases to general production use.
- Ensure all relevant production staff are fully familiar and/or trained on the equipment, process & associated documentation.
- Provide clear and precise information regarding every facet of the process so it can be communicated to the client. This includes during any related audits/visits. Become technically proficient in regard to the process, equipment and product enabling the individual to become a Subject Matter Expect.
- Ensure project timelines are adhered to and when issues arise escalate them appropriately.
- Responsible for support of new business and process improvement projects. Support the delivery of an effective and efficient qualification and validation in accordance with Almac Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and customer specifications.
- Support the compiling of any Standard Operating Procedures linked to the Process.
- Ensure compilation of all documentation (Batch records, validation protocols etc.) is accurate.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
A Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of work experience in Pharmaceutical, Food or Medical Device industries
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree
Required Work Experience:
5 years experience operating equipment in a manufacturing / production environment
1+ Experience in leading a process such as the introduction of a new piece of equipment or product
1+ year supervisory or process Lead experience or project management experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of medicinal goods
Preferred Knowledge:
Knowledge of production scheduling, project management, change control and validation
