Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
Responsibilities
- Mentor, develop and motivate subordinates. Create a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellent personnel at all levels. Create training and capability building process and training modules to promote project management best practices.
- Resolve people/functional issues in order to achieving targeted department performance and retaining key talent
- Periodically review the key project procession and provide feedback to PJE to keep project execution in right direction. Keep close communication with across functions leaders to disclosure high level bottleneck and risk and opportunities, deeply engaged to action plan creating and monitor progression to result.
- Provide leadership for key projects (e.g. kick-off)
- Project execution and department productivity improvement. Proactively identify bottleneck and constrain issues on project management, and optimize it with stakeholders
- Coordinate with Senior Management to create localized processes and systems to ensure effective project management and implementation across the organization. Ensure the site processes and systems is compliant to global guideline and procedure.
- Monthly department performance report and analysis, include KPI and key initiatives, provides input to and implements operational plans
- Budget and HC planning and control
- Monitor adherence to policies and procedures and relevant rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or above
- 10 Year project management experience or above, 5-year people management experience or above
- Capability and experience to identify, define and develop solutions to complex issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or process
- Cable assembly manufacturing processes knowledge
- Strong ability of organize and coordinate and cross team communication
- Possible trip alone often
- Fluent in English and local language
