Role overview
Your main responsibilities will be to manage the Bard calibration program, applying industrial automation knowledge to resolve control issues with Bard production assets and deliver upgrade projects related to existing control systems.
Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
Carrying out calibration activities and ensuring calibration records are up to date for all production assets and instrumentation associated with the building management system
Managing the Bard calibration processes by reviewing methods, verifying calibration results provided by both internal and external calibration companies, and ensuring results are correctly documented. Manage the contracts with external calibration houses ensuring other departments within our company are aware of their activities.
Carrying out investigations into equipment failures using problem solving techniques to identify the root cause and corrective action required to prevent repeat failures.
Being the subject matter expert for the Bard Production assets, by working closely with equipment suppliers to develop knowledge and understanding to be able to provide technical support and guidance to the Maintenance, Engineering Projects and Production teams.
Managing, organising and planning continuous improvement work by working closely with contractors, suppliers and internal departments to deliver reliability and performance improvements.
What you’ll bring
Electrical engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 diploma or equivalent
A good understanding of industrial control systems
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, such as FMCG or automotive
