What you’ll do in this role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic technical guidance and oversight to pioneering developments that support Integer’s goals. You will be involved in the full life cycle of projects from inception to completion. As the authority in your field, you will provide guidance and technical leadership to others across Integer.
· You adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
· You are recognized as a subject matter expert within Integer and challenged to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
· You lead and direct the technical aspects of new product or process development programs and the ongoing support activities to sustain operations for a product line or site. Your contributions enable continuous improvement opportunities resulting in improved performance and/or cost reduction opportunities for new and existing products.
· You may provide supervision for up to 4 to 5 engineering direct reports. As well, you will serve as a coach and mentor for other engineers, modeling the behaviors and disciplines of an engineering or technical professional.
· You provide direction and administrative organization for the design and engineering services departments and set priorities for utilization of resources on new projects or programs.
· You interact with a global customer base and are responsible for interface/travel for customer interaction and communication. As such, you work closely with customers and sales management to establish, maintain and improve relationships.
· Your skills and experiences are leveraged to discover and promote new business and market opportunities as well as production performance improvements.
· You may review, initiate, and approve engineering designs, reports, change orders, material and process specifications.
· You embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.” You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS),

· You champion the development of and deployment of the systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

• Strategy Alignment through Site Hoshin Plans, the regular cadence of Sales, Inventory, and Operations’ Planning (SiOP) meetings, and regular updates to the value stream maps.

What sets you apart:
· You are technically renowned as a subject matter expert, a recognition you have earned through 10+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences.
· Your abilities to observe, analyze and develop solutions to complex technical challenges result in the delivery of break-through results in areas such as productivity, technical capabilities, capacities, or other competitive differentiators in a particular market or product segment.
· You earned, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or related technical field. Preferably, you also have a Master’s degree or a Doctorate.
· You have a strong foundation, and preferably training and certifications, in a variety of problem-solving and project management platforms such as 6-Sigma (green belt as a minimum, black belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone), Kepner-Tregoe, PMP.
· You work independently as well as collaboratively with cross functional teams.
· You have the well-developed skills for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and on budget.
· Because your role involves customer and supplier interactions, travel, both domestic and international, will be required at times. The duration and frequency of such travel may vary by assignment and may include extended periods of time, as needed.
· You have the financial acumen to navigate a typical Profit and Loss Statement, explaining how the delivered results from this role can affect the Site’s financial performance.
· You maintain a calm demeanor that transcends the high energy, constantly changing production environment.

Principal Engineering role will lead the site's molding capability from a technical standpoint as well as provide significant guidance to molding operations.
Designs, details, and implements molding process and equipment solutions which improve safety, quality, delivery and cost for new and existing molding production lines. Utilizes molding and plastics knowledge and expertise to develop molds, tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in molding that optimize productivity, maintainability, and cost. Uses scientific molding principles to perform mold tool qualifications, mold process characterization window study, and molding process qualifications. Defines, produces and implements documents including engineering drawings, equipment qualifications, and process instructions. Troubleshoots injection molding machine, molding process, tool issues, molded part problems with scientific molding tools, take corrective actions plan and timelines. Collaborates with Design/Development Engineers, Tool Makers, Team Leaders, Technicians, Associates, Customers and Suppliers to evaluate and influence designs and processes for manufacturability and cost reduction
