Job Description Summary
Develop and validate image analysis algorithms to characterize cellular phenotypes and quantitate molecular targets in high-throughput and high-content imaging.
· Design and implement algorithms to refine image quality and robustly isolate and extract desired features.
· Research and implement novel image and data processing technologies to create efficient and reusable solutions.
· Communicate and present results to a diverse audience of computational and experimental scientists.
· Facility with reproducible research practices and data provenance
Job Description
Requirements:
· PhD/MS in computer science, biomedical image computing, computational imaging, or a related quantitative field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in industry or academia.
· Strong programming and data analysis skills in Python.
· Strong background in computer vision or computational imaging.
· Comfortable working in a Linux HPC environment and skilled in data-parallel processing.
· Solid understanding of machine and deep learning technologies.
· Demonstrated background in developing innovative approaches to solve image analysis problems.
· Strategic ability to identify and select problems where techniques developed in ML/AI can have a significant impact.
· Experienced in strategically defining and assessing benchmarking and evaluation approaches for ML/AI algorithms
· Enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and possess a strong willingness to learn from others' expertise in drug discovery.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse group of scientists and technical staff.
· Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment.
Desirable:
· Working knowledge of imaging platforms across a range of modalities.
· Skilled in implementing machine/deep learning techniques to solve scientific or engineering problems in the field of life sciences, with a focus on fine-tuning foundational models using major deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) or high-level libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, Lightning).
· Demonstrated record of collaborative software development, especially in distributed teams.
· Experience with cloud-based applications or cloud computing on AWS and Azure
