Procter & Gamble (P&G) are a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods making some of the world’s best loved brands like Gillette, Fairy, and Oral-B. We are looking for a Controls Engineer and Cyber Security Leader to join our team at our Reading Plant.
This position is critical to ensuring P&G minimizes the risks, vulnerabilities, and technological issues which may prevent us from achieving operational excellence. In this role you will be a key member of the Intelligent & Controls Automation team delivering new products and process innovations.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver Intelligent Controls & Automation Equipment and installations that meet the regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement Operational Technology disaster recovery, business continuity plans, and security measures, including Industrial Control System firewall management, physical & personnel security, and policy documentation, while ensuring budgetary alignment and EVP enrolment compliance.
Lead the creation of essential standards and documentation, including design basis, user requirements document and software design basis.
Effectively reviewing and approving standard Intelligent Controls & Automation design documents and drawings.
Develop and troubleshoot controls system architecture via Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and other industrial control devices.
Safeguard our Industrial Control Systems by implementing robust cybersecurity measures, ensuring they are resilient against evolving cyber threats.
Lead and manage cybersecurity incident response efforts, ensuring compliance with access control policies, digital application stewardship toolkit, and cybersecurity standards while overseeing system lifecycle management and vulnerability mitigation.
Understand PLC program, Rockwell/AB platform Software, Omron Platform Software, Cognex/Keyence Vision system.

Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Certificate/Diploma preferably in an engineering or IT related field (or other related degree and/or work-related experience).
Experience:
Use of industrial control system networks & cybersecurity framework (CSF). It’s desirable to have experience with Rockwell & Omron platforms as well as other machine control or instrumentation technologies.
Technical Leadership:
Ability to manage the technical aspects of a project through the complete design, manufacture, debug, and implementation & commissioning phases. Curiosity and creativity to develop innovative solutions and leadership to drive these ideas through to creation.
Communication:
Great communication with vendors, operators, and contractors as well as the ability to work across disciplines and departments to build consensus and align technical directions.
