Dornan are currently recruiting for **Quality (QA/QC) Apprentices** to work alongside our the Quality team on one of our London-based projects.
Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

The successful candidates will join an already established design team and be an exemplar ambassador for the Company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Implement the project quality plan and inspection and test schedules for each system
- Review the inspection and test plans for each sub-contractor and specialist fabrication vendor
- Monitor and report on quality of installation
- Liaise with prefabrication subcontractors regarding fabrication quality where required
- Liaise with in-house project teams regarding prefabrication versus traditional installation methods
- Liaise with clients regarding installation quality.
- Conduct frequent project audits
- Promote through in-house toolbox talks, installation quality and work standards
- Work closely with the team to ensure the successful completion of projects on a system-by-system basis
- Work with project supervision staff in the scheduling of and reporting on test completion, witnessing, and recording of same
- Co-ordinate QC and Technical related issues to ensure quality of the installation
- Compilation of project records - test records, commissioning records and “as-built” documentation.
- Liaise with in-house project teams regarding system walkdowns and handover.
- Manage turnover documentation
- Coordinate meetings with clients on completion of handovers per system.
- Liaise with clients regarding installation quality and attendance at systems walk downs and handovers.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by your manager
Required Knowledge:
- Detailed knowledge of the quality role
- Commercial understanding
- Health, Safety and Environmental systems
- Knowledge of the team’s strengths and weaknesses
