Maintenance Technician - AML 6
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will conduct basic troubleshooting and employ basic predictive technologies to identify root cause and appropriate corrective actions for equipment problems. This role supports a 7/24 non-standard shift operations at the AML6 Drug Substance Organization.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform regular upkeep and repairs on systems like HVAC, bioreactors, and utilities.
- Identify and fix equipment problems; escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Keep spare parts stocked and organized.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete work orders.
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies; stay updated with necessary training.
- Help develop and enhance maintenance procedures and standards.
- Plan maintenance activities to minimize impact on production.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery.
- Be available to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
What we expect of you
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Maintenance Technician professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree and 2 years of maintenance experience
Or
2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on maintenance experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 4 years of maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a regulated GxP environment with the ability to optimally communicate ideas through verbal and written form.
- Experience with maintenance troubleshooting and repair of rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, agitators, etc.
- Experience conducting predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance with miscellaneous production equipment such as elastomers, pneumatic diaphragm valves, chromatography columns/skids, UFDF, bioreactors, CIP, COP, Autoclaves, Glass Washers, etc.
- Clean utilities maintenance, and troubleshooting experience of WFI Stills, Air Handling Units, Clean Steam Generators, and Purified Water Units.
- Intermediate computer skills and experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or SAP.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and PIDs and perform control of hazardous energy sources (Lockout/Tagout)
