We are now looking to recruit a Production Operator to join the team to produce high quality pharmaceutical products with a focus on the treatment of pain, addiction and critical care.
Day to day responsibilities
- As part of a team, work towards daily targets to meet the weekly production schedule utilising specialist pharmaceutical equipment
- Ensure that all activities within the area are undertaken to established standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
- Complete batch manufacturing records accurately, neatly and maintaining integrity of data recorded at all times
- Follow GMP working instructions and guidelines to ensure the product is produced to the right quality
- Perform quality control checks throughout the process to ensure product and patient safety

- Work closely with the Engineering team in the event of machine breakdowns
- Working closely together as a team to ensure batch-to-batch tasks are completed efficiently to minimise downtime

Non-Sterile Liquids:- Undertake gowning process to enter the cleanroom safely and to GMP Regulations
- Preparing the area & sanitising equipment for use in the production of oral liquids
- Combine pharmaceutical ingredients together to make a bulk solution ready for filling
- Using high-tech machinery, fill the bulk solution in to bottles before they are capped
- Ensure that the correct labels are loaded in the labelling machine to ensure product security and then ensure that labels are applied accurately
- Either by manual or equipment-based process, product is packed ready for distribution
Skills/experience
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent level)
- Experience of working within a process driven/structured environment
- Desirable experience of working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Desirable experience of using SAP
- Experience of operating machinery
- Knowledge of health and safety standards required in a production environment
- A good understanding of manual handling practice

Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: ££26,588 per annum includes 16% shift allowance.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday working split shift, 6.00am - 2.00pm and 2.00pm-10.00pm.
