The Manufacturing Utilities/Facilities Engineer will work with a diverse team of engineers, operators, and mechanics to provide day-to-day technical support to site utilities, powerhouse, and energy distribution equipment across the site. They will have leadership responsibilities including the powerhouse and machine shop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct work activities and demonstrates leadership behavior consistent with DuPont Core Values.
- Ensures operations meet all Delaware state requirements.
- Provide daily technical support to maintenance operations (occasional off-shift/weekends when needed) including process optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and safety analysis.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for the equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Provide leadership and guidance for plant shutdown.
- Work closely with the maintenance teams to develop production strategies and systems that improve safety and manufacturing performance
- Provide technical leadership and support to plant capital projects, including capital justification, design, process safety assessments, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses.
- Track and ensure compliance with plant operating permits.
- Develop, maintain, and improve operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Degree (BS, MS) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex process and production issues using multiple disciplined teams and data-driven analysis
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant
