Quality Tech will work on Transfer Quality Team. This group currently is handling 60+ Legacy Product transfers from supplier to supplier or plant to plant. This person will be supervised/work closely with a Quality Engineer to support all needed quality project deliverables such as: gages, gage quotes, gage MSA studies, inspection plan revisions, part inspections, process validations, PFMEA’s, reject reporting & corrective actions, First Articles/Process Development parts that require CMM inspection, Vision System – digital overlays & programmed position inspection, optical comparator – overlay inspection, etc. Interaction with transfer project managers, development, manufacturing inspectors, CMM programmers, mfg. quality engineers.
What will you be doing?
Primary responsibilities are the inspection of finished and purchased products raw materials or miscellaneous supplies by performing visual, basic dimensional and documentation inspection per specified procedures or instructions within the framework of the FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ISO 9001 standards.
Position will require the use of technical measurement equipment, measuring techniques and knowledge of advanced use of PC and mainframe computer systems and associated software.
This job will also directly support a Quality Engineer for gage quotes, gage MSA, gage calibration, reject data review, and inspection plan/inspection drawing revisions.
May be cross trained and assigned to other Quality Control areas if job requirements dictate.

What will you need to be successful?
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional education is a plus, such as: Associate’s degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent, CQT and/or CMI a plus.
Experience:
1 year or more experience in a position involving inspecting parts to blueprints using measuring instruments (micrometer and calipers) and completion of courses or working knowledge of Algebra and Trigonometry, Blueprint Reading/Interpretation and GD&T is required.
1 year of Receiving Inspection Experience Preferred
General Manufacturing Processes, Materials/Metals Technology, and Quality Control Instruments; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with machining metal parts preferred
Ability to understand advanced mathematical concepts, e.g., probability, statistical inference, calculus, and algebra.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Algebra and Trigonometry, Blueprint Reading/Interpretation.
Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Organizational and time management skills required.
Ability/desire to learn new inspection equipment/methods
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25-30 lbs; ability to stand 3-4 hours at a time.
