Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Management (QM) Associate Scientist to join our team in our Singapore facility. As part of this role, you will be responsible for handling the quality management system (QMS), including activities related to compliance with regulatory requirements, maintenance of ISO certification, process improvement, root cause analysis, corrective action follow-up, and product release. You will also be involved in new product development projects, supporting cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong technical knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, as well as experience working within a regulated environment such as ISO 13485 or FDA QSR. Responsibilities
Handle the QMS to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those pertaining to medical devices.
Maintain ISO certification by conducting internal audits and preparing documentation required for external audits.
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address identified issues.
Support multi-functional teams during new product development projects to ensure products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with collaborators across various departments to improve existing processes and procedures.
Review product specifications and ensure they align with applicable standards and customer expectations.
Perform routine inspections of production areas to monitor adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
Assess potential suppliers based on their ability to provide high-quality components that meet specified requirements.
Provide training and guidance to employees regarding QMS policies and procedures.
Investigate customer complaints and recommend appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in quality management within the medical device industry.
Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques and problem solving methodologies.
Knowledge of lean six sigma principles and tools.
Experience leading multi-functional teams and collaborating with collaborators across multiple fields.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas clearly.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Self-motivated individual who can work independently but also thrives in a team environment.
Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and tools used in quality control.
