The successful candidate for the Associate Scientist II position will join the Cell Services team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform QC for current and new cell products
- Perform QC for reagent formulation
- Support the cell bank stability program
- Responsible for troubleshooting assay and reagent issues
- Develop and optimize processes and/or protocols to improve assay reproducibility
- Support testing for CAPA, ECN and Technical Support
- Generate and prepare protocols and/or reports for assay improvements and other qualification processes
- Generate new or revise SOPs
- Provide support to the team and to other departments
- Ensure on-time delivery and improve TAT for cell products
- Assist Manager in facilitating daily performance management meeting
- Work with R&D to perform new cell product assays efficiently and successfully
- Participate and present in weekly group meeting
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebook and product database
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree, BS or MS degree in biology / related area with at least 2 year of cell-based Quality Control in an industrial area.
- Expertise in culturing and manufacturing multiple cell lines types.
- Experienced in multi-well plate assays including GPCR assay methodologies such as cAMP and Ca2+ assays.
- Authorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorship

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
- Experience in culturing mammalian cells
- Knowledge of using Excel, PowerPoint or other programs for laboratory sample and reagent management
- Experience in cryopreservation of mammalian cells
- Detailed oriented and consistent in experimental approach
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Must be team-oriented and accustomed to working with other scientists
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

This role pays in the range of $31 - $37 per hour commensurate on experience
