As the Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research you will DRIVE the global health economic and outcomes research strategy for his/her assigned Ferring compounds through lifecycle, with an emphasis on addressing the evidentiary needs of our US operations, to demonstrate product value thereby strengthening commercialization activities for inline, launch and pipeline products. LEAD the development of health economic and patient-reported outcomes evidence. Proactively PARTNER with all relevant internal stakeholders (project directors, clinical development, medical affairs, market access, GMO, regulatory) to ensure that the available clinical evidence is optimized for market access. Continually INNOVATE with the affiliate-based HEOR community and external HEOR advisors (KOLs) to document product value. Apply new, innovative, scientific HEOR evidence methods to strengthen data demonstrating value of Ferring products.

Responsibilities:
Establish the strategic and tactical direction of value demonstration projects supporting assigned TA and/or products
Develop and implement economic models and instruments to promote the understanding and appropriate use for Ferring products, as well as the economic implications based on clinical performance and budget impact
Promote and ensure compliant evidence-based data generation and strategy to support sound principles for economic, humanistic and economic value demonstration
Effectively and efficiently manage multiple HEOR related projects and associated resources, including cost center budget, vendors, consultants and other expenses related to /HEOR
Create policies, procedures and guidelines related to functional role(s), pursuing efficiencies without compromising quality, dependability or accuracy; ensure compliance to departmental, organizational, and global standards and SOPs
Continuously expand HEOR by identifying and implementing outcomes-based research across Therapeutic Areas
Contribute HEOR input to strategic product publications plan and develop materials supporting product use and reimbursement, including presentations, manuscripts, etc.
Partner with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthenproduct value propositions to optimize price, patient access, reimbursement and uptake
Manage the integration of economic and quality of life parameters into Ferring sponsored clinical studies to support the markets
Deliver US-specific economic models and integrated value dossiers to demonstrate the additional therapeutic value of Ferring’s products
Identify, select and manage external vendors, as needed to implement and deliver on Value Based Outcomes initiatives
Serve as anadvisor and HEOR subject matter expert
Work closely with a wide variety of functions such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal and Compliance to ensure the payer evidentiary requirements are met
Initiate and maintain relationships with external HEOR experts/Thought Leaders (TLs) to ensure up to date awareness and education in health economics and quality of life research
Break down barriers to accelerate the delivery and dissemination of information
Act as a key cross-functional scientific communicator and collaborator to develop outcomes strategies, assessment, messaging and quality improvement plans
Requirements:
Post-graduate degree in life-science related discipline (health economics, patient-reported outcomes, medicine, pharmacy, epidemiology, psychology); PhD desirable
10+ years in HEOR roles within pharma industry and/or life-science consultancy or relevant experience with a track record of documented successes
Direct interaction with multiple national HTA bodies around the world. Experience addressing regional and local market access hurdles.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with the dynamics of the US health care system and payers
In-depth knowledge of the scientific principles of health outcomes and economics research, clinical outcomes assessment (COA) and patient reported outcomes (PROs), comparative effectiveness, evidence-based health management
Full understanding and appreciation of recognised good research practice standards within those fields of responsibility

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $222,000 to $271,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
