Diabetes Care Kilkenny
Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones. This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.

As the Senior Controls Engineer you will address intricate problem-solving situations that may involve conflicting design specifications, the inadequacy of traditional materials, and the need for effective coordination. You will design, implement and maintain processes that help manufacturers increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute engineering modifications to optimize processes and outcomes.
Design and direct engineering studies and experiments aimed at improving system functionality.
Evaluate issues and analyse their repercussions on projects and workflows.
Define design and process specifications that meet project objectives.
Ensure all documentation adheres to established company protocols for clarity and compliance.

Education and Experience
Minimum NFQ level 7 qualification in Industry Automation, Mechatronics, Computer science, Electrical engineering or equivalent experience
4+ years engineering or operational experience
Good communication skills.
Strong Problem Solving skills.
