This position develops policies and procedures to ensure employee health services are compatible with corporate goals and objectives, this position will become the RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) for the site.
Manage the maintenance, install, repair, start-up/commissioning, and operation of critical
utilities and systems related to sterilization equipment and support systems, including but not limited to:
HVAC, compressed air, hot water, chilled water, vacuum.

Job Summary
Ensure compliance to all relevant regulatory requirements on safety, health and environmental protection in the country of operation.
Lead the development and implementation of best practices for safe operations at manufacturing sites and ensure adherence by all employees through training and other means.
Provide technical assistance and advice to management teams in addressing concerns related to occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection.
Monitor the effectiveness of existing measures for preventing accidents or injuries in the workplace and propose improvements where necessary.
Conduct regular inspections of production facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions accordingly.
Collaborate closely with Human Resources personnel to develop programs aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and reducing absenteeism due to illness or injury.
Work closely with Operations teams to ensure proper maintenance of equipment and machinery as well as effective waste disposal procedures are implemented across all manufacturing sites.
Support efforts to minimize energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing processes.
Participate in cross-functional teams focused on improving operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety, health and environmental performance.
Assist in developing emergency response plans for natural disasters, fires, explosions, chemical spills, and other potential disruptions affecting manufacturing activities.
Coordinate with local authorities regarding permits required for new construction projects or changes made to existing facilities.
Experience:
- 5 years of facilities experience, preferably with automated equipment.
- Experience with electron beam accelerators a plus.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated experience in equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Experience with applicable GMP, ISO regulations, and knowledge of federal and state environmental and occupational safety and health regulations (EPA, OSHA, NFPA).
- Understand the root cause of technical issues, develop a plan, and implement.
- Read and understand drawings, electrical diagrams, chronic levels of quality, waste, and equipment efficiencies.
- Effective influencing, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
- Agile decision-making skills.
- Effective skills in coaching, influencing, and mentoring.
- Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations.
- Works independently with minimal guidance.
- Usually determines own work priorities.
- Acts as a resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related degree.
Certifications:
- PE, PMP it’s a plus
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent.

- Minimal required supervision
- Set priorities among multiple tasks
- Demonstrate effective leadership
